Flying High

We spent the day as a family at Klondike Days in Eagle River, Wisconsin.  A good time and some great photos.  Below is one of my favorites after a quick review.  These athletes on the snowmobiles were simply amazing.

Greetings from the Northwoods

Below is a photograph that I took and added quite a bit of texture and design to it.  The goal was to create a retro looking 1940's type photo postcard.  I always liked these old postcards and wanted to try to recreate a little of that nostalgia.  I call this one "Greetings from the Northwoods".  If you would like to get a full size (non-watermarked) print of this photograph, it is available in our Fine Art America Gallery.

Fun in the Snow as a Puppy

Well one of the fun things about all of this snow we have been getting has been watching the new puppy, Rudy run and play in it.  Here is a fun photo we have from about a month.  He's a lot bigger now but we are a little behind in processing.  As always, you can see more at our main site.

We have just joined a wonderful site called Fine Art America.  This site allows users to view some of your more artistic shots and buy them in a variety of prints.  While some of my prints are for sale on our main site, this is another avenue for our more artistic shots.  We are early in the process of building our page but encourage you to check us out.  Some of those prints look great on the wall.  Here's a link to our portfolio:  Keith Bell Fine Art America page.

Snowy Sunday Rudy

Well this post is a week late but it took me awhile to get to the photos.  Last Sunday it snowed all day and we decided to take the new puppy Rudy for a walk in the woods.  He had a blast and we did too!  Here's a pic of Rudy in the snow.  Amazing how much he has grown in only a couple of weeks.  He's about nine weeks old here.

Meet our newest model, Rudy.  He is our 7 week old Yellow Labrador puppy.  We lost our last lab, Nelson, after 16 wonderful years back in May.  Looking back I wish I had been into photography more when he was younger.  We have lots of great photos of Nelson but most are with inferior cameras that won't hold up to the digital standards of today.  You can see a great one of Nelson on our main site.

Back to Rudy, our youngest model.  Below is the first of what will be probably thousands of photos of him.  Hopefully we'll make him famous:)

Catching Up

Life is busy.  Insanely so.  We have had a blast though this summer taking some great photos at events around the state.  My two boys have been shooting with me and we have done balloon rallies, car shows, and tons more. A couple of observations have really hit me on the photos this summer.  One is that I really like shooting editorial events.  Having shots of newsworthy events and not having to worry so much about logos is liberating.  The marketability is really limited but I get so much more enjoyment from it.  Second is that old cars are awesome to photograph!  Great contours, lines, colors of every shade.  They are fantastic.  Lastly the people we have met this summer, especially at the car shows are awesome.  They have been friendly and love to see you take pics of their cars.  Truly great people.
